The project started out from reading a post on www.deja.com (now groups.google.com) The original poster was explaining how to make a taillight for a motorcycle with an array of LED lights. It went on to perform several calculations for voltage and how many LED's to put on the array. I got brave, rounded up $48.95 for 100 Agilent HLMP-AD06 LED's from Newark.com and $12~ for some prototyping boards from Radio Shack.  Tools Lights and Lens   Goop'ing the turnsignals back together   Assembling the rear LED panel. Since the lights need 2.0~2.4 volts per LED, I made 20 strings of 5 elements per string with 10 strings for each light.   While testing at 13.8V, the voltage reducer put out a solid 12.000V. Each of the strings has a 10ohm resister to drop the extra .25 volt.  Yes, they're bright. cambreakin
